Sieben
The Seven Last Words is one of Haydn’s most profound and original pieces: it is an “European work” of the Enlightenment as it was written in Austria for the cathedral of Cadix in Spain. It exists in several versions, each with its particular interest. This String Orchestra version is presented together with seven new pieces commissioned to seven different composers from the European Union, as a tribute to the original spirit of the piece.
